Filter Cartridge

Cartridge

Cartridge filters are one of the most versatile and widely used components in modern water treatment systems. Designed for precision filtration, these units remove suspended particles, sediments, and impurities to deliver clean, clear, and safe water for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Their compact design, ease of use, and cost-effectiveness make them a preferred choice across multiple sectors.

How They Work

Water passes through a cylindrical filter cartridge housed inside a pressure vessel. The cartridge, made from pleated fabric, melt-blown fibers, string-wound material, or activated carbon, traps unwanted particles as the water flows through. The efficiency of filtration depends on the micron rating of the cartridge, which can range from coarse filtration (20–50 microns) to fine filtration (0.2–1 micron).

Types of Cartridge Filters

Melt Blown Cartridge Series

The Melt Blown Cartridge Series features advanced micro-fiber technology, where fibers are self-bonded to form a robust three-dimensional pore structure. This unique design allows for a variable fiber diameter and density, transitioning from the inner core to the outer surface of the cartridge.

These depth cartridges are engineered with a continuously graded pore structure, enabling dual-stage filtration:

  • Pre-filtration: Captures larger particles in the outer layers.
  • Final filtration: Traps finer contaminants deeper within the cartridge.

This layered approach enhances dirt-holding capacity, reduces pressure drop, and extends the service life of the filter—making it ideal for demanding industrial and commercial applications.

Features

  • High contaminant holding capacity
  • Long service life
  • Low pressure drop
  • Micro straining melt-blown filtration fiber, high removal rating PP series cartridges, self-bonded with no chemical binder
  • Multi-Layer structure (fibers fineness varying from inner to outer of the filter.)
  • Cartridge structure progressively looses from inside to outside, so the cartridges contaminant catching capacity is increased and the lifetime is prolonged.

String Wound Cartridge Filters

String wound cartridges deliver true depth filtration, offering exceptional dirt-holding capacity and minimal media migration. Manufactured through a high-speed, continuous winding process, each cartridge forms a seamless, one-piece structure with hundreds of diamond-shaped tunnels that gradually decrease in size from the outer surface to the core.

This unique gradient design enables:

  • Progressive particle capture: Larger particles are trapped in the outer layers, while finer contaminants are retained deeper within the filter.
  • Enhanced retention capacity: Far superior to conventional surface filters of similar size and porosity.
  • Extended service life: Reduced clogging and consistent flow rates over time.

Ideal for applications requiring high-performance filtration and reliability across a wide range of industries.
